Baseball Recap: Pryor Takes a Loss

Pryor's last matchup with Oologah could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Tigers lost 9-2 to the Mustangs. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Pryor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Hurst, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Hurst has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Pryor and nudges their season record down to 15-9. As for Oologah, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pryor will square off against Tahlequah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oologah, they will host Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
