Basketball Recap: Van Buren Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thaden on Friday, Van Buren came back down to earth. The Pointers took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves on Saturday.

Van Buren's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Van Buren will take on Hall in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Valley Southwest and Gardner-Edgerton will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
