Football Preview: Preston Knights vs. Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles        
        
		
             Preston hasn't had much luck against Woodrow Wilson recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Preston Knights will venture away from home to  face off against the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles  at 7:30  p.m. Both  are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.
 Preston is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They claimed a resounding  48-20 win over East Fairmont at home. The Knights pushed the score to  42-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bees cut but never quite recovered from.
 Preston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Cody Smith led the charge by picking up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 59 yards. Another player making a difference was  Shelden Miller, who gained 106 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson won against Bluefield  last Friday with 43  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  last Friday. Woodrow Wilson breezed by Bluefield at home  to the tune of  43-7. Considering the Flying Eagles have won three matches by more than 35  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Preston's victory  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-3. As for Woodrow Wilson,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-1.
 Preston took a serious blow against Woodrow Wilson  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, falling  50-13. Can Preston avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
