Basketball Recap: Maple Lake Comes Up Short

Maple Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 94-52 loss at the hands of the Kimball Cubs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Irish of the 82-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Maple Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kimball, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Lake will face off against Eden Valley-Watkins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kimball, they will challenge Paynesville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
