Preview: Stuart Broncos vs. Twin Loup Wolves
Stuart is 9-0 against Twin Loup since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Stuart Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Twin Loup Wolves. Stuart will be strutting in after a win while Twin Loup will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, it was close, but Stuart sidestepped Bloomfield for a 38-35 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stuart.
Meanwhile, Twin Loup was the victim of a rough 51-26 loss at the hands of Sandhills/Thedford on Saturday. Twin Loup was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-4.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Carsen Vincent,
Ragan Mauler, and
Miranda Olson posted five points each. Mauler also led the team in rebounds with 11.
Arin Smith took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-1.
Stuart came out on top in a nail-biter against Twin Loup in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 34-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stuart since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
