Football Game Preview: Oakleaf Knights vs. Atlantic Coast Stingrays

The Oakleaf Knights will challenge the Atlantic Coast Stingrays at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Oakleaf 13.6, Atlantic Coast 15) so any points scored will be well earned.

Oakleaf's offense might be in the hot seat on Monday considering what happened against Fleming Island last Thursday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 25-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Atlantic Coast has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 15 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They took a blow against Mandarin, falling 31-0. The Stingrays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oakleaf's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Atlantic Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Oakleaf couldn't quite get it done against Atlantic Coast in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 as they fell 12-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
