Basketball Recap: Harrison Panthers vs. Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs
Harrison gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They strolled past the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 46-29. The Panthers pushed the score to 36-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.
Harrison had a senior duo take command as Nadia Turnipseed dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 steals and Nyleen Brown dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Turnipseed also racked up four offensive rebounds, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.
Harrison will take on Pueblo East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pueblo Centennial, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sand Creek at 6:00 p.m. Pueblo Centennial is looking for their season's first victory.
