Pinellas Park gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Largo Packers, sneaking past 10-8. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 20-17 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Frankie Cherry threw for 82 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Chayse Armstrong was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards. On the ground, Nate Vega rushed for 74 yards.

Pinellas Park will hit the road for the first time this season to take on East Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Largo, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
