The third road contest was the charm for Chariton, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against the Fairfield Trojans by a score of 7-3 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chariton's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Fairfield, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Chariton has already played their next match (against Van Buren County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fairfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Mt. Pleasant on the 14th.
