Starkville Academy won the last time they faced Magnolia Heights and things went their way on Friday too. The Starkville Academy Volunteers were the clear victor by a 46-24 margin over the Magnolia Heights Chiefs. The Volunteers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Starkville Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raylee Jones, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 boards. Jones has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Kate Couvillion was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Starkville Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Magnolia Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Starkville Academy has already played their next contest, a 38-15 loss against Jackson Academy on the 18th. As for Magnolia Heights, they will head out on the road to square off against Pillow Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
