Baseball Recap: Fair Lawn Comes Up Short

Northern Highlands hit Fair Lawn with a seven-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cutters came up short against the Highlanders, falling 14-2. The Cutters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Fair Lawn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northern Highlands, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Lawn will head out to take on Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Hornets have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northern Highlands, they will take on Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
