Huntsville won the last time they faced Dayton and Zarien Adolphe did his part to make sure it happened again. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Hornets made off with a 42-41 win over the Broncos with plenty of help from Adolphe, who rushed for 144 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has become a key player for Huntsville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

Dayton lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Denim Foster, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown. Jerry Prieto Jr was another key player, throwing for 300 yards and three TDs.

Huntsville's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Dayton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Huntsville will challenge rival Lake Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 968 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Dayton is set to take on their familiar foe Splendora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
