O'Connor is 9-1 against Pinnacle since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m.

O'Connor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked ninth at the time (O'Connor was ranked sixth). The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that the Eagles let down their fans at home.

O'Connor couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Liberty a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 23-25, 36-34, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, O'Connor saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nikolina Mimic had 11 digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pinnacle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Boulder Creek 3-2 on Tuesday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Pinnacle's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for O'Connor, their loss dropped their record down to 23-6.

O'Connor took their victory against Pinnacle when the teams last played on October 2nd by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
