Baseball Recap: Pine Island Panthers vs. Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars
Pine Island took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars as the Pine Island Panthers made off with a 12-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pine Island also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Luke Sems was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs. Ben Grabau was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Pine Island will head out on the road to take on Chatfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they will be playing at home against Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
