Baseball Recap: Hobart Find Success

Hobart's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Wheeler Bearcats by a score of 12-7. The win continues a trend for the Brickies in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won four in a row.

Landon Koritko was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Hobart: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Stafford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Hobart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April.

Hobart now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Wheeler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Coming up, Hobart will welcome Lowell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wheeler, they will square off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
