Volleyball Recap: Hopi Takes a Loss

Hopi lost against Pinon back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bruins lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-21.

Pinon can attribute much of their success to Shanna Begaye, who had ten digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Begaye a new career-high.

Hopi's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Pinon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Hopi will challenge Round Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pinon, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rough Rock on the 23rd.
