Basketball Recap: Garces Memorial Victorious

While Garces Memorial's victory against Highland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 win over the Scots on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Highland lost, don't look at Randy Davenport. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-14 en route to 14 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Croney, who posted 11 points and seven steals.

Garces Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Garces Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-38 defeat against North on the 21st. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-50 loss against Golden Valley on the 21st.
