Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Advanced Math & Science Academy

Advanced Math & Science Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the South Colonels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Advanced Math & Science Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Maria Elena Lambarena-Tanaka, who had seven digs and four aces.

Lambarena-Tanaka wasn't the only good servers: Advanced Math & Science Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Advanced Math & Science Academy's record now sits at 8-2. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
