Softball Recap: Lasalle Beats Georgetown for Their Third Straight Victory

LaSalle waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Georgetown Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Monday.

Leah Steen and Addy Taylor did most of the damage at the plate: Steen went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one run, while Taylor went 2-for-4 with one home run. Those two doubles gave Steen a new career-high. Lexi Lasiter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: LaSalle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.

LaSalle's record now sits at 17-7. As for Georgetown, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, LaSalle will host Monterey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Georgetown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Jonesboro-Hodge at 5:00 p.m. on the 10th.
