Softball Recap: Deshler Gets the Win

Deshler owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Lexington Golden Bears. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Addison Booth looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Malaya Jackson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025.

Deshler's win bumped their record up to 33-12. As for Lexington, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Coming up, Deshler will be taking part in a tournament against Grissom at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will host Elkmont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
