It was a good run, but Ferndale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Cubs.

Amaya Mathews paced Ferndale's offense, picking up six kills. Mathews got some help from Dalia Cantu-Mendez and her ten assists. Fallon Bullan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ferndale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Anderson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-15.

Ferndale and Anderson will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will challenge rival St. Bernard's at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Anderson is set to face off against their familiar foe Yreka at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
