Basketball Game Preview: Bedford Kicking Mules vs. Wayne Memorial Zebras

Bedford hasn't had much luck against Wayne Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bedford Kicking Mules will be taking part in a tournament against the Wayne Memorial Zebras at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bedford comes in on seven and Wayne Memorial on six.

Bedford's tournament run continued when they took on Cass Tech on Wednesday. Bedford came out on top against Cass Tech by a score of 43-35. Given the Kicking Mules' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Technicians are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wayne Memorial beat Renaissance 51-47 on Wednesday.

Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Wayne Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 20-6.

Bedford couldn't quite get it done against Wayne Memorial when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as they fell 64-56. Can Bedford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
