Football Game Preview: Legacy vs. Minot Magicians

Legacy and Minot are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. Legacy will square off against Minot on Friday. Minot took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy, who comes in off a win.

Legacy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Williston 56-18. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Legacy considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Legacy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Julson out in front who picked up 95 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards Julson has posted since back in September of 2024.

Legacy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williston only rushed for 75.

Meanwhile, Minot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Bismarck 43-7. The contest marked the Magicians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Legacy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for Minot, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Legacy took a serious blow against Minot when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 42-7. Can Legacy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
