Recap: St. Michael Warriors vs. Tara Trojans
The St. Michael Warriors won the last time they faced the Tara Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Michael breezed by Tara on the road to the tune of 62-14. The result was nothing new for St. Michael, who have now won four contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
John Martinez went supernova for St. Michael, rushing for 261 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Martinez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Preston Sentino was another key contributor, rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown.
St. Michael's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Tara, their defeat was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
St. Michael will take on Istrouma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tara, they will head out on the road to face off against Brusly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brusly is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
