Newtown lost to Kolbe-Cathedral back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Cougars. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Nighthawks this season.

Newtown pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
