Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Finds Home Court Redemption Against Lehigh

There's no place like home for Riverdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lehigh Lightning on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was Riverdale's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-8.

Olivia Znotens paced Riverdale's offense, picking up 13 kills. Znotens got some help from Piper Higginbotham and her 23 assists. Znotens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Riverdale's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lehigh, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale will face off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lehigh, they will square off against Cypress Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
