Basketball Game Preview: Neenah Rockets vs. Appleton East Patriots

The Neenah Rockets will venture away from home to take on the Appleton East Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neenah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Appleton East likes a good challenge.

Neenah took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Kaukauna by a score of 66-56.

Meanwhile, Appleton East scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oshkosh North. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Neenah pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Appleton East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Neenah beat Appleton East 62-55 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Neenah repeat their success, or does Appleton East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
