Basketball Recap: Elkhorn Beats Ralston for Their Third Straight Victory

Elkhorn had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-45 W against the Ralston Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-49 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elkhorn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Petersen, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 14 points and six rebounds. Petersen is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Grady Friedrichsen was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Elkhorn now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Ralston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Elkhorn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-32 loss against Skutt Catholic on the 27th. Ralston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
