Softball Preview: Model Patriots vs. Powell County Pirates
After two games on the road, Model is heading back home. They will take on the Powell County Pirates at TBD on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.
Model's hitters might be in the hot seat on Monday considering what happened against Frankfort on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Panthers. Model has not had much luck with Frankfort recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Powell County also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 16-0 to Clay County on Saturday. Powell County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Model's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Powell County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-11.
