Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Cougars vs. Philip Barbour Colts

The Lincoln Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Philip Barbour Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 28.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln lost to East Fairmont at home by a 63-47 margin. The Cougars were down 54-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Philip Barbour, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-51 victory over Liberty on Saturday.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Philip Barbour, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Lincoln beat Philip Barbour 80-68 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
