After a string of seven wins, Fountain-Fort Carson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Pueblo West Cyclones. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 25-12.

Reyanna Somerville paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up nine kills. Somerville got some help from Emeline Maualuga and her 11 assists. Amiyah Nash controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Pueblo West, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Fountain-Fort Carson will head out on the road to challenge Golden at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pueblo West, they will host Rampart at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
