Basketball Recap: Arizona College Prep Takes a Loss

Arizona College Prep made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gilbert Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Arizona College Prep fell just short of Gilbert Christian by a score of 54-51 on Saturday.

Gilbert Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Abrahamson, who went 5-for-9 en route to 15 points. Abrahamson also put up a block, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colin Burke, who posted 12 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Arizona College Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Gilbert Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Arizona College Prep will head out to challenge Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Gilbert Christian, they will host Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
