The Craigmont Chiefs will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Covington Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Craigmont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

On Thursday, Craigmont earned a 6-4 victory over Ridgeway. Geovany Moran was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Covington didn't have quite enough to beat Fayette Academy last Thursday and fell 2-1. The loss was Covington's first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Craigmont and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two matches. As for Covington, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
