Herriman hasn't had much luck against Riverton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. Herriman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Herriman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked fifth at the time (Herriman was ranked 22nd). The Mustangs fell just short of the Sentinels by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Sierra Prescott was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Riverton beat Bingham 4-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Silverwolves in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won four in a row.

Lexi Huntley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits.

At the plate, Riverton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Hamblin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Riverton's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Herriman, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Herriman hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Herriman suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Riverton in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
