Basketball Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Erie Tigers

Boulder kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a blow as they fell 51-36 to the Erie Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Remi Kingdom and Lexi Oder certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Kingdom posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four blocks, while Oder shot 44% from the field en route to 17 points and eight boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Erie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Greenlee, who scored four points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those five assists gave Greenlee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophie Husk, who put up nine points and five steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Erie and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Boulder will take on Rock Canyon in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Erie, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m.
