Baseball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

King's Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Capuchino. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Nate Plata was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

With the loss, King's Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Capuchino, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4.

King's Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sequoia at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Capuchino, they have already played their next match, a 15-9 win against Palo Alto on the 24th.
