There's no place like home for Harrells Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Crusaders have posted since April 17, 2024.

Drake Smith was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory snapped Harrells Christian Academy's losing streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Harrells Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Halifax Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
