Basketball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Federal Way Eagles. The Plainsmen lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-42 score last time.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Federal Way, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Evergreen will take on Columbia River in a tournament on Thursday. As for Federal Way, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Camas at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Camas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
