Football Game Preview: Tucker County Mountain Lions vs. Tug Valley Panthers + Official Tickets

The Tucker County Mountain Lions will take on the Tug Valley Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tug Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tucker County, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Tucker County turned things around against Hampshire on Friday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 28-21.

A big part of Tucker County's victory came down to the chemistry between Samuel Marks and his top target Reid Kisamore. Marks threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes while Kisamore gained 130 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Marks racked up 53 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-6, which was the final score in Tug Valley's tilt against James Monroe on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tug Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Tucker County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Tucker County against Tug Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. Will the Mountain Lions repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
