Basketball Recap: Los Lunas Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Los Lunas was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 81-28 loss at the hands of the Volcano Vista Hawks. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Los Lunas' loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Volcano Vista, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Los Lunas will face off against Hobbs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hobbs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Volcano Vista, they will challenge Atrisco Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Volcano Vista is facing Atrisco Heritage Academy at the right time seeing as Atrisco Heritage Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
