Basketball Recap: Jaydon Soto Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

Palmetto Ridge won the last time they faced Aubrey Rogers and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Palmetto Ridge Bears came out on top against the Aubrey Rogers Patriots by a score of 60-50.

Palmetto Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaydon Soto led the charge by going 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Soto a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Juju Castillo, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Despite the loss, Aubrey Rogers still got an impressive performance from Hunter Puthoff, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Seth Timmer, who posted eight points.

Palmetto Ridge's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Aubrey Rogers, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-12.
