Rock Falls lost against Byron back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockets fell 5-2 to the Tigers. The Rockets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Austin Castaneda was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Rock Falls' loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Byron, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Falls will head out to take on Stillman Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Byron, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hononegah at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
