            Woodlawn won the last time they faced Wayne City, and things went their way  on Monday too. The Woodlawn Cardinals simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wayne City Indians 66-21. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for the Cardinals this season.
 Leading Woodlawn to victory were  Rylie Hockett and  Andrea Kibler.  Hockett  went 10 of 17 on her way to 23  points, to go along with five  assists and four  steals, while  Kibler  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and ten  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Hockett has scored at least a third of Woodlawn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sophia Skinner, who  went 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points and eight  rebounds.
The  victory  got Woodlawn back to even at 4-4. As for Wayne City, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought when  the Woodlawn Cardinals  take on   the Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Wayne City, they will take on Fairfield at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Wayne City is facing Fairfield at the right time seeing as Fairfield is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
