Softball Recap: Caldera Takes a Loss

Caldera couldn't beat Ridgeview on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. Caldera fell just short of Ridgeview by a score of 9-8. The defeat continues a trend for Caldera in their meetings with Ridgeview: they've now lost three in a row.

Elle Morton was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base. Morgan Voll was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Caldera's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ridgeview, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 20-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Caldera is set to face off against their familiar foe Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ridgeview will square off against rival Bend at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens are on a 15-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Lava Bears a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
