Basketball Recap: Ethan Bauer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wayland-Cohocton over Canisteo-Greenwood

Wayland-Cohocton was the 53-49 winner over Canisteo-Greenwood when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles and the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers didn't end well, with the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles falling 60-42.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Bauer, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Charles Mulford, who had seven points.

Wayland-Cohocton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayland-Cohocton will head out to square off against Hornell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they will head out on the road to take on Alfred-Almond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canisteo-Greenwood is facing Alfred-Almond at the right time seeing as Alfred-Almond is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
