Soccer Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sumter Gamecocks.

Manning's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Sumter, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Manning will welcome Brookland-Cayce at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Manning will be up against Brookland-Cayce's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.54 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sumter, they will head out to face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
