Auburn Riverside dropped their record down to 14-8 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-2 to the Rogers Rams. For Rogers' part, Sierra Murray made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Murray has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Adiar was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Payton Walling was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Auburn Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rogers, they have already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Olympia on the 17th.
