Basketball Recap: Franklin Beats Kenwood for Their Third Straight Victory

Franklin waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Kenwood Bluebirds by a score of 57-45. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 58-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Bluebirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Otuyelu, who posted 15 points. Otuyelu's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Antoine Day-Barnes, who earned seven points along with 19 rebounds and four steals.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Kenwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Franklin will face off against Eastern Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kenwood, they will take on Western Tech & Environmental Science at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
