Soccer Recap: Springport Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Springport finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Lansing Christian Pilgrims, falling 8-0. Springport haven't had much luck with Lansing Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Springport's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Lansing Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springport will square off against Jackson Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Springport will be up against Jackson Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lansing Christian, they will head out to challenge Laingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Laingsburg will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lansing Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
