If South Allegheny was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Steel Valley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gladiators lost 3-0 to the Seton LaSalle Rebels on Thursday. The Gladiators' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While South Allegheny was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Seton LaSalle's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 25-23.

Ally Chizmar paced South Allegheny's offense, picking up 13 kills. Chizmar got some help from Ava Luft and her 18 assists. Chizmar also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Violet Pastories, racking up two apiece.

South Allegheny's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Seton LaSalle, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, South Allegheny is taking a road trip to square off against Elizabeth Forward at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seton LaSalle, they will square off against St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
